Olympic Loop Tour Highlights
 
Day 1: Seattle to Ocean Shores
  • Tacoma Museum of Glass - an international center for contemporary art with a sustained focus on glass. Experience exhibitions the showcase works by internationally known artists who illuminate trends in contemporary art, highlighting glass within a full rang of media. You can also be enthralled by artists in the Hot Shop making artwork from molten glass right before your eyes.  
  • Ocean Shores – located on the Washington coast. Here you will find a myriad of activities for couples or families such as; bumper boats, go-karts, boating, miniature golf, horseback riding on the beach, moped rentals, fishing, visiting the Environmental Interpretive Center, beachcombing, biking, kite flying or gambling at the Quinault Beach Resort
  • Overnight at the Shilo Inn Ocean Shores
Day 2: Ocean Shores to Port Angeles
  • Lake Quinault - a picturesque lake nestled in the rain forest of the Olympic National Park. Here you can stroll the half mile interpretive trail or have coffee or a meal at the Quinault Lodge, a historic lodge located on the lake.
  • Coastal Beaches of Olympic National Park can be accessed by a limited span of Highway 101 that follows the Coast Line. One of the most dramatic is Ruby Beach which features several sea stacks and Abbey Island.
  • Hoh Rainforest – located 18 miles of Hwy 18 is nature’s celebration of green. Learn about the rain forest by doing one of the interpretive trails and by visiting the Hoh Visitor Center.
  • Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls. Located just off Hwy 101 as it follows the southern curve of Lake Crescent, is the trail head for Marymere Falls, a 1 ½ mile roundtrip hike to a 90 foot Waterfall
  • Spend the evening in Port Angeles. Quietly nestled between the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains, Port Angeles is home to 19,000 Washingtonians.
  • Overnight at the Red Lion Port Angeles
Day 3: Port Angeles to Clear Water Resort or Seattle
  • Hurricane Ridge will take you from sea level in Port Angeles to 5100 feet in the Olympic Nat. Park in 17 miles. At the top you will find a visitor center, breathtaking views and sub alpine meadows awash with wildflowers from July – September.
  • Dungenss Spit/Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge is Just a short drive off Hwy 101, Dungeness Spit is the largest natural sand hook in the nation. A wonderful place for beachcombers, hikers and bird watchers.
  • Port Townsend Historic District - Follow Hwy 101 north to junction of Hwy 20 and continue north for 13 miles. Picturesque Port Townsend, a well preserved Victoria Sea port which overlooks the Strait of Juan De Fuca and Puget Sound. Spend an afternoon browsing through the many shops and galleries, or tour a Victorian style home. Nearby Fort Worden State Park is a definite "must see", and don't miss the Marine Science Center (closed on Mondays).
  • Poulsbo - Located in the Kitsap Peninsula, Poulsbo was settled by Norwegians in 1882 and still retains much of this heritage. Walk quaint shop lined streets with dozens of Antique Shops, Art Galleries, Bakeries & Restaurants the boardwalk on beautiful Liberty Bay.
